Rector's Welcome
A warm welcome to you from The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection! We are
happy for the chance to introduce you to our community of faith, located in the
Lake Hills and Crossroads neighborhood of Bellevue, WA.
Our community is part of the Episcopal Church. Our walk in faith is shaped by the
beauty and fellowship found in weekly worship, sharing our experiences of God, and
serving in a wide variety of ministries.
We encourage you to come and experience Christ's love here - whether in prayer and
worship, fellowship events, study and conversation, or active ministry in our local
community. If you are a seeker looking for a place to ask questions and try out
life in community, you are welcome here. We invite you to come listen, explore,
learn and celebrate with us - who are fellow seekers - and to take part as you feel
called to do. We hope you will experience the presence and love of Christ through
each person you meet here.
Our door is open to all. We look forward to meeting you!
Rev. Edith Weller, Rector

Anyone can stand up and request money to help with a need, but it take real talent
to produce and star in a play on the same subject. Thus the Resurrection Players
were born.
The Resurrection Players presented a short play-let to help explain why we needed
to raise the funds to pay for the new roof on our education/office building (St
James). Our St James has been around for 50 years and has served the needs of our
3 parishes. It has housed our offices, Sunday schools, Chinese school, Bellevue
College Pre-school, various AA groups and much more. We asked for a pledge payment
for one or more 'leaves' on our St. James Tree. Each leaf representing one month
of a 60 month contract to repay the loan for the roof.
The play-let gave us the opportunity to provide information in a fun and memorable
manner - rather than the standard 'informational lecture'. Stand by for more play-lets
in the future.

Vestry Question & Answer forum - Sunday, May 20th
The Vestry will offer the opportunity between services for conversation and questions
on topics of interest to you. It will be an open session, and we really encourage
your questions. If the question you have in mind would benefit from some data-gathering,
it would help if you'd share your question with any of the Vestry members or Rev.
Edie by May 15th so that we can have what's needed on hand. All are welcome to this
conversation.
