In the Episcopal Church, the Vestry is the elected governing body of the parish.
The Senior Warden is invited to serve by the Rector. The Junior Warden is elected
by the rest of the Vestry, both annually.
The leadership and management responsibilities of the Vestry include:
Discerning, with the clergy, the congregation's mission and vision for the future
Developing and communicating the vision, associated goals and action plans
Helping encourage and empower leadership for ministry across the congregation
Developing a budget that supports the congregation's vision, mission and goals
Establishing and monitoring ministry programs and policies
Serving as chief stewards of the congregation's property
Nominating and supporting persons for ordained ministry
Resurrection's Vestry can have up to nine members. According to our parish bylaws,
each Vestry member serves for a three-year term and one-third of the members rotate
each year. Our current Vestry members are listed below.
