- and apply them for the good of our greater community.

Clothing Collection
This program collects donated clothing for Congregations for the Homeless, Sophia's Way, Baby Corner
and Jubilee Reach Hearts & Home Thrift Store.

Congregations for Kids
This is a coalition of local congregations, including Church of the Resurrection,
that provides backpacks and school supplies for needy kids in the Bellevue school
district.

|
Congregations for the Homeless
This interfaith program based on the Eastside provides temporary housing for up
to thirty homeless men, in collaboration with local congregations whose support
includes sharing in the preparation and serving of meals across the year.

Crossroads Dinner Program
This program serves meals to homeless individuals and families in conjunction with
the Salvation Army chapter at Crossroads in Bellevue. Resurrection participates
on the 5th Thursdays of the year. Volunteers purchase, prepare and serve the meals.

Food for Those in Need
This program collects nonperishable food and distributes it to Tent City 4 and Hopelink.
|
|
Hearts and Hammers
This is a collaborative ministry supported by five congregations of the Lake Hills
Interfaith Covenant. Over one weekend each year, teams of volunteers provide labor
and supplies to help with major household repairs, small renovations, yard-work
and cleaning for 4-5 local households. This ministry has been supported by fund-raising
within the participating congregations.

Kairos Prison Ministry
Kairos Prison Ministry is an inter-denominational ministry which serves the Washington
State prisons at Monroe, Purdy, McNeill Island and Clallam Bay. At each center,
four retreats and monthly reunion meetingss are organized and hosted by Kairos volunteer
teams, as a way to share the Christian Gospel directly with inmates. This ministry
is supported by prayer, four thousand dozen cookies prepared for the semi-annual
retreats, plus donations and team participation. Resurrection has participated in
this ministry since 1986.

Mission to Seafarers
This ministry serves the needs of international seafarers who periodically dock
in the Port of Seattle. Resurrection has participated in supporting the "Ditty Bag"
project for many years, by collecting toiletry and other personal items, and by
creating and filling bags to be presented to the crews late in the year. This is
a collaborative ministry with many congregations participating and a wonderful source
of fellowship as well as giving.

Skagit Valley Giving Tree
This program is sponsored by La Iglesia de la Resurrección, an Hispanic Episcopal
mission in Mt. Vernon, to provide Christmas gifts for Hispanic children and families
in that congregation and its surrounding community. Resurrection, Bellevue participates
by providing gifts, clothing and grocery certificates for 20-30 children annually.

Skagit Valley Pilgrimage
This annual program provides the opportunity for teens and older youth to meet,
interact, learn and work with the young people of La Iglesia de la Resurrección,
the Hispanic Episcopal mission in Mt. Vernon, and the community this mission serves.

Thanksgiving Baskets
Each November, a volunteer team at Resurrection collects and assembles food baskets
for 3 to 4 local families. The families are identified through neighborhood schools.
Each basket includes a complete Thanksgiving meal and gift certificates for special extras.

United Thank Offering (UTO)
UTO is a worldwide, year-round devotional program for individuals and families sponsored
by the Episcopal Church, focusing on giving daily thanks for the blessings in our
everyday lives. The program received special emphasis each year in October when
all are invited to make additional offerings in "mite boxes".
