All Worship ministries have a direct impact on our Sunday worship time at Resurrection. They assist in ensuring that everything is ready for the Eucharist each Sunday, and serving during the Sunday service itself.

These ministries are open to any member after a brief training session. You will be placed on a rotating roster to ensure that everyone gets a chance to serve.

Acolytes

Acolytes assist the celebrant at the altar and in procession during the worship service.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild prepares the furnishings of the altar and sanctuary for Sunday services and other special services during the Church's calendar year.

Altar Flowers

Volunteers are assigned to arrange flowers for Sunday morning and other special services during the year.

Choir

The Chancel Choir sings at the 10:00 AM contemporary service. The choir welcomes anyone who is of high school age and up to join. Rehearsals take place on Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM. All musical abilities are encouraged. Visit the Music page for more information.

Lectors or Lay Readers

Lectors are lay persons selected and trained to read the lessons and lead the Psalm during the Sunday services.

Intercessors

Intercessors are lay persons selected and trained to lead the prayers of the people during the Sunday services.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Formerly known as "chalice bearers", Lay Eucharistic Ministers serve at the altar, serving the wine during Holy Communion.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors

The Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEV) team provides Holy Communion at home for anyone who is unable to attend worship on a regular basis. This is available to folks who may be recuperating from a short-term illness or other situation as well as those who are not able to come to church any more.

If you would like to receive communion in this way, or if you would like to consider joining our LEV team, please call the church office (425-746-0322). We will be glad to provide an orientation and training for this wonderful ministry of outreach and presence to others.

Ushers

Ushers help direct people during services. They provide assistance to all worshippers, especially visitors or those with special needs. The duties include distributing worship bulletins to those entering the church, collecting the offering, providing attendance counts, and guiding worshippers to communion.

Greeters

Greeters welcome people as they go into services. They welcome newcomers and visitors, answer their questions, and encourage them to sign the Guest Book and join parishioners at coffee hour.

Audio Visual support

The Audio/Video ministry runs the power point that is displayed on the overhead screen during the Family Service on Sundays. Any parishioner can join this ministry. Experience with computers or sound equipment is helpful, but not necessary.
